Assessment Criteria
Stroke Technique:
Front crawl: 25 metres with bilateral breathing and consistent arm recovery
Backstroke: 25 metres with straight arms, steady kick, and good body alignment
Breaststroke: 25 metres with correct timing, glide, and symmetrical technique
Butterfly: 25 metres with continuous rhythm and simultaneous arm/leg movement
Starts & Turns: Basic understanding of race starts and legal turns for each stroke
Aquatic Skills:
Push and glide into strokes from wall with streamlined body position
Sculling: Demonstrate sculling head-first and feet-first
Surface dives: Perform a surface dive in deep water
Treading water: Maintain position for 45 seconds
Underwater skills: Swim through a submerged hoop or similar challenge
Training Readiness
Follow lane discipline and coach-led sets
Understand basic training terms (e.g., reps, rest, pace)
Show focus, resilience, and willingness to improve technique
Begin to take ownership of warm-up routines and feedback
